Boston, MA – M|C Communications, LLC, the leading U.S. provider of continuing medical education for physicians under the Pri-Med aegis, has announced the appointment of Rick Watson as Senior Vice President for Corporate Development. In his new role, Watson will oversee new business ventures. mergers and acquisitions. Watson joined M|C Communications in 2002 as Vice President of Marketing.
“Rick Watson played a key role both in the extraordinary growth of M|C Communications and its acquisition in 2004 by Bain Capital,” John Mooney, chief executive said. “In his new position, we are able to draw upon his broad experience and achievements in business strategy, mergers and acquisitions and operating management.”
Prior to joining M|C Communications, Watson spent nine years in golf product management with Spalding Sports Worldwide. While at Spalding he also was responsible for integrating the acquisition of both the Ben Hogan golf club and Etonic golf shoe brands and their subsequent turnarounds.
A graduate of Dartmouth College and the Tuck School of Business, he began his career in the public finance group of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in New York.
