Boston, May 23 – Boston Business Journal has named M|C Communications one of the “Best Places to Work in Massachusetts” in its third annual survey of Bay State employers, the company announced today. M|C Communications LLC is the parent company of Pri-Med, the leading US provider of continuing medical education programs for physicians.
"Our team has grown from 40 employees to more than 150 in just the past four years," founder and chief executive John Mooney said. “We're gratified that we're succeeding in keeping our commitment to making M|C Communications a rewarding place not only to build a career, but to come to work each day. We are a closely knit organization able to integrate rapid growth while keeping a sharp focus on creating and delivering value. As an education and event management company we live by the belief that our business is built on creating one exceptional attendee experience at a time.”
Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys, according to Boston Business Journal editor George Donnelly. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement, and relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
"At M|C Communications, we recognize that, for the highly motivated people who come to work here, there's more to work than the job,” Elizabeth Famiglietti, Senior Vice President for human resources said. “We place a lot of emphasis on celebrating our achievements together, encouraging each other and contributing time and effort to the Boston community. At the same time although we’ve experienced rapid growth, we've managed to maintain a good deal of spontaneity and capacity for fun."
"An outstanding place to work is an organization employees can be proud of, and one that is proud of them,” Mooney added. “At M|C Communications, we try to live that principle in meaningful ways, for example, by recognizing personal and professional accomplishments frequently and equally, by balancing travel with additional work schedule flexibility; and by setting an example at all levels of M|C that hands on participation in business and community affairs is a vital aspect of what bonds us together as a successful team."
"What we're confident we've achieved is an organization that can count on every member to go an extra mile whenever needed, to meet the needs of the constituents we serve," Famiglietti said.
