Pri-Med Access is an innovative health care information solution with an immediate opportunity for a proven, experienced sales performer to join this rapidly growing line of business. This individual’s primary role will be business development/sales of personal (live, peer-to-peer, sales rep driven etc.) and non-personal (online, new media, etc.) professional promotion. The Account Director is responsible for increasing company revenue by initiating and developing new client relationships and securing business for solutions designed specifically for the life sciences industry. Key responsibilities will include successfully building an account sales strategy, building relationships, and closing and maintaining business. This role requires in-depth and current knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing strategies, a proven ability to penetrate and influence hard to see decision makers, and broad familiarity with major medical therapeutic areas.
To join Pri-Med as an Account Director, the ideal candidate must be competent in the following areas and possess the following qualifications:
• 10+ years business development/promotional experience with 5 years specifically in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company
• Deep understanding of life sciences industry sales/brand marketing structure and decision making processes
• Combined product manager and business development experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field; master’s preferred
• Proven experience in new-business development, achieving quota goals, and managing personal sales strategies
• Ability to influence primary decision makers, and third-party decision makers, such as medical education companies
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
• Produce accurate and timely forecasts
• Experience in selling and closing large proposals
• Willingness to travel 30- 40% of the time
