M|C Communications, the owner of the Pri-Med brand, has an immediate opening for an Associate Medical Director. In this critical and diverse role, the Associate Medical Director will lead the clinical validation and review of educational content developed in various therapeutic areas, and will provide high quality review and feedback to relevant stakeholders (to include faculty, education partners, association partners, medical writers, etc). The Associate Medical Director will use his or her strong clinical background and editorial expertise to edit content for scientific validity, clinical applicability, and fair balance, and will also play an important part in interpreting outcomes data from Pri-Med programs. This individual will partner closely with the Medical Director, and under the direction of the Editorial Director, will oversee freelance editorial deliverables, including content quality & scope. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone who would like to use their medical education background or deep knowledge in various therapeutic areas to both meet the educational needs of primary care physicians and expand Pri-Med’s ability to touch patients through knowledge.
Requirements:
• Advanced clinical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP) absolutely essential
• 4+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical education industry
• Complete knowledge of clinical medicine & practice required, as well as thorough understanding of clinical content integrity
• Thorough understanding of overall drug development, drug pre-marketing and marketing processes
• Experience acting as liaison with internal & external clients of varying disciplines & expertise
• Very strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage deadline-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment
• Highly effective verbal and written communicator with ability to speak intelligently to the industry, external education partners, and academic/professional societies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet-based medical databases
• Based out of Boston, MA office location, but travel will be required
